November 26, 2020 – RCDHU Confirms Staff Member at A.J. Charbonneau Public School Tests Positive for COVID-19

November 26, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) in collaboration with the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB), is confirming that a staff member at A.J. Charbonneau Public School in Arnprior, has a positive laboratory-confirmed case of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). All students and staff who have been deemed to be a close contact of the positive case, have been given direction to go home immediately to self-isolate and arrange for testing. The school remains open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.

November 22, 2020 – RCDHU Confirms a Student at Fellowes High School Tests Positive for COVID-19

November 22, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) in collaboration with the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB), is confirming that a student at Fellowes High School in Pembroke, has a positive laboratory-confirmed case of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). All students and staff who have been deemed to be a close contact of the positive case, have been given direction to remain at home to self-isolate and arrange for testing. The school remains open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.

November 8, 2020 – RCDHU Declares COVID-19 Outbreak at Valour High School

November 8, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU), is confirming that in addition to the one high school student who previously tested positive for COVID-19, two additional high school students at Valour High School in Petawawa have tested positive for COVID-19. Two confirmed cases that are linked within the high school meets the provincial guideline for the declaration of an outbreak. All staff and/or students who have been deemed to be close contacts of the positive cases, have been given direction to immediately self-isolate and arrange for testing. Valour High School remains open for in-person learning.

November 6, 2020 – RCDHU Declares COVID-19 Outbreak at Bishop Smith Catholic High School

November 6, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU), is confirming that in addition to the one student who previously tested positive for COVID-19, one staff member at Bishop Smith Catholic High School in Pembroke has tested positive for COVID-19. Two confirmed cases that are linked within the school meets the provincial guideline for the declaration of an outbreak. All staff and students who have been deemed to be close contacts of the positive cases, have been given direction to go home immediately to self-isolate and arrange for testing. Bishop Smith Catholic High School remains open for in-person learning.

November 2, 2020 – RCDHU Confirms Two Students at Valour JK-12 School Test Positive For COVID-19

November 2, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) in collaboration with the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB), is confirming that two students at Valour JK-12 School in Petawawa, have positive laboratory-confirmed cases of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). It has been confirmed that both cases were contracted outside of the school and there has been no confirmed spread within the school at this time. All students and staff who have been deemed to be a close contact of the positive cases, have been given direction to go home immediately to self-isolate and arrange for testing. The school remains open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.

November 2, 2020 – RCDHU Confirms a Student at Bishop Smith Catholic High School Tests Positive for COVID-19

November 2, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) in collaboration with the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board (RCCDSB), is confirming that a student at Bishop Smith Catholic High School in Pembroke, has a positive laboratory-confirmed case of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). All students and staff who have been deemed to be a close contact of the positive case, have been given direction to go home immediately to self-isolate and arrange for testing. The school remains open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.

October 27, 2020 – RCDHU Releases Section 22 Order for Self-Isolation in Effect October 30

October 30, 2020 ‐ Dr. Robert Cushman, Acting Medical Officer of Health for the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU), has issued a Section 22 Order under the Health Protection and Promotion Act requiring all residents of Renfrew County and District (RCD), to immediately begin self-isolation if they: • are a confirmed case or probable case of COVID-19; • have signs and symptoms of COVID-19, have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting the results of their test; • believe they now have one or more symptoms (even mild symptoms) of COVID-19; or • are a close contact of a person diagnosed with COVID-19 or are a close contact of a person identified as a probable case of COVID-19.

October 27, 2020 – RCDHU Declaring Suspect COVID-19 Outbreak at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL)

October 27, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU), is confirming that two employees of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) have positive laboratory-confirmed cases of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).

October 26, 2020 – RCDHU Confirms a Student at Herman Street Public School Tests Positive For COVID-19

October 26, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) in collaboration with the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB), is confirming that a student at Herman Street Public School in Petawawa, has a positive laboratory-confirmed case of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). All students and staff who have been deemed to be a close contact of the positive case, have been given direction to go home immediately and self-isolate. The school remains open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.

October 23, 2020 – RCDHU Confirms Positive COVID-19 Case at Opeongo High-School

October 23, 2020 ‐ Today, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) in collaboration with the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB), is confirming that a student at Opeongo High School has a positive laboratory-confirmed case of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). RCDHU has directed a class of students and a number of staff to go home immediately and self-isolate. The school remains open to in-person learning and will be open on Monday morning to receive students and staff.
