50% of influences on health are thought to be caused by things about your life: income, early childhood experiences, physical ability, education, social status, gender, employment and working conditions, race, access to safe and nutritious food, housing and community belonging. 25% of the influences on health are access to health care and quality of the health care system. 15% of health is due to our biology and genetics. 10% is due to things in our environment, such as air quality and civic infrastructure.
